Geordie singer Chezza has sent her pal the ONE DIRECTION dolls as an early gift for her birthday later this month.

It’s a play on a running joke between the singers since Katy has made no secret of her love for the 1D boys.

A source said: “Cheryl and Katy have become close since they appeared on The GRAHAM NORTON Show.

“Cheryl’s been busy with her tour so she wanted to make sure she sent a present well in advance and let Katy know she was thinking of her.

“She knows what a big fan Katy is of the boys and how she has a major crush on all five of them so she knew Katy would love the dolls.”

HOLLYWOOD star Brad Pitt has spoken about his past use of drugs — and branded the US war against them a “charade”.

The actor, 48, a dad of six, said his drug-taking days were “long past”.

But he added: “I could probably land in any city and get you whatever you wanted. I could find anything you were looking for. Give me 24 hours or so.”

US President Richard Nixon launched America’s “war on drugs” in 1972.

Pitt — who has produced a documentary about the drugs battle called The House I Live In — said: “We have spent a trillion dollars. It’s lasted over 40 years. A lot of people have lost their lives for it. Yet we still talk about it like it’s this success.”

Pitt claimed drugs should be decriminalised, quality controlled and gangsters forced out by removing the profits. He said: “The drugs war is being used to hold down a portion of our society. It’s criminal.”

He suggested treating drug use “less as a criminal issue and more as a sickness”.

- POSSESSING small amounts of drugs for personal use should no longer be a criminal offence, says the UK Drug Policy Commission in a report today.
