EMILY Blunt is up for a role in the next Avengers movie.
The Devil Wears Prada star looks set to join Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson in the Superhero sequel.
She is going head-to-head with fellow Brit Ruth Wilson – best known for her roles in TV shows Luther and Jane Eyre – to play Ms Marvel.
The character is US Air Force officer Carol Susan Jane Danvers who gained superpowers after being caught in an explosion with Captain Marvel.
Filming begins next year on the follow-up to The Avengers Assemble – which scores an amazing £950million at the box office.
X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner has revealed she would love to see characters from her movies included in the sequel.
She said: "I would love it. I personally have close ties to Marvel because of (producer) Kevin Feige. Kevin worked for me. But to take our characters and mingle them in the way that they were written - yeah, absolutely.”
