Jack’s back with a bang

JACK WILSHERE set up two goals for Arsenal in only his second outing in 15 months tonight.

The Gunners midfielder got another 78 minutes under his belt for the Under-21s against Reading following an hour runout last week.
Wilshere, 20, missed the whole of last term with an ankle injury he suffered during pre-season in July 2011 and then had minor knee surgery in May this year.
But he looked sharp and showed pace on the comeback trail at Barnet’s Underhill Stadium, setting up Serge Gnabry for a goal just before half-time and then swinging in a corner for Chuba Akpom to get the second in a 2-0 victory after 63 minutes.
Arsenal boss Wenger could hand him a first-team start against Reading when the two sides meet again in the Capital One Cup at the end of the month.
Bacary Sagna lasted 65 minutes in his first start since May after recovering from a broken leg.
The French right-back, who along with Wilshere was forced to miss this summer’s European Championships, has been ably replaced by Carl Jenkinson in the first-team this season.
Andre Santos played the full 90 minutes for the second string team, with boss Arsene Wenger keen for the Brazilian to get some game time after only making one start for the first team this season.
